The Catholic Church has designated 2025 as a unprecedented Holy Yr, also called a Jubilee Yr. Throughout a Jubilee Yr, the trustworthy are inspired to make a pilgrimage to Rome and obtain particular indulgences. The Jubilee Yr of 2025 shall be significantly important as it would mark the 1700th anniversary of the First Council of Nicaea.
The theme of the Jubilee Yr of 2025 is “Pilgrims of Hope.” This theme is supposed to encourage the trustworthy to mirror on their journey of religion and to look ahead with hope to the longer term. The Jubilee Yr shall be a time for renewal and reconciliation, and an opportunity for the trustworthy to come back collectively in unity.
