The Revised Widespread Lectionary (RCL) is a three-year cycle of Scripture readings utilized by many Christian denominations. The RCL was first revealed in 1992 and was revised in 2002. The 2025 RCL is the latest revision of the lectionary.
The RCL is designed to offer a complete overview of the Bible over a three-year interval. The readings are organized in a thematic order, so that every Sunday’s readings relate to a selected theme. The RCL additionally contains readings from quite a lot of sources, together with the Previous Testomony, the New Testomony, and the Apocrypha.
